My interest in horticulture began at the age of 14 ,when I started a weekend job at a well known local plant nursery. After leaving school, I studied commercial horticulture at Hadlow College in Kent.

 

After leaving college, I worked on a plant nursery for several years growing herbaceous perennials. I soon realised ,that as much of my free time was spent putting plant combinations together for form and colour that garden design was to be my real passion.

 

For the last 20 years my husband and I have run Lamont and Lawrence Garden Design. I design the gardens and provide planting and advice, whilst my husband, Rob, along with a small team of men, run the construction side of the business.
